Do people need a reason to donate? People have different opinions on this subject. While many people say that they DO need a reason to donate, I say that people don’t. Saying that people need a reason to donate to charity groups like Salvation Army is like saying that people need a reason to be kind to someone or do something nice for someone. I feel that people don’t need a reason to do something good. The Google definition of integrity is, ”the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.” I think that we can apply that word to this question. Integrity. What does integrity mean to people? Integrity also means doing the right thing when nobody’s watching and not expecting anything for doing it.  In fact, one of Fremont’s STAR values is integrity. This shows that our school thinks that integrity is very important.

Now I ask again. Do people need a reason to donate? If we apply integrity to this question, then the new question would be “Do we need a reason to be kind and help others?” Wow. The question just changed. But it’s really not that different.  Do we need a reason to be kind and help the less fortunate? Each person will choose for himself, but as for me, I say that people don’t need a reason to donate to charity.
