Should You Put Your Christmas Decorations Up Before December 1st?

On the eve of Halloween, everyone likes to get excited for Christmas, but what if I were to tell you that is wrong.

If you think about it, there is another holiday between Halloween and Christmas. Do you know what that is? Thanksgiving. It is a holiday that you either love or dislike. The good about this time though is that it is a break from the festivities and a chance to relax before Christmas. Personally, I think that you should wait until after Thanksgiving to put up your decorations.

Some people have a lot of things to think about when it comes down to how we have to celebrate our favorite holiday. While Christmas may be fun we do have a whole month for that and we need a little break between when we celebrate them. Overall, I do think that people should have the opinion to do what they want when they want.

One of the people I interviewed was 8th grader Sadie Bentea. She said, “You can put anything that’s inside and not a tree before Thanksgiving, but if it is anything else or outside wait until Black Friday.” On the other end, 7th grader Kristy said, “I think that you should be able to put up decorations whenever, even when it’s not related to Christmas because decorations are just expressions.” Which I do agree with, it does make sense to at least wait until the day after Thanksgiving.

In conclusion it’s your choice but it may not be the right time and waiting until after Thanksgiving is probably best.
