Mr. Yutzie teaches life skills to the students of Fremont Middle School. He chose to work here because he enjoys working with kids who need a little extra help in the Turn Around Program. He heard that Fremont was a great school and that the TAP room job was open. He knew he wanted to teach here. He works with kids on building social and emotional skills, managing emotions, e.t.c. Before Mr.Yutzie got into the classroom, he worked for 15 years in the juvenile system here in Roseburg and up in Eugene.
Mr. Yutzie loves watching kids grow mentally and socially. “I call it an aha moment when you’re struggling with something and they help you get it and it feels really good when you help a student get something.” Mr.Yutzie would also enjoy teaching social studies or shop. He is a history major from the University of Oregon and enjoys woodworking.
